Everyone knows by now that turmeric is great for you thanks to it’s anti-inflammatory properties and high antioxidant content. I was recently asked by a friend to recommend a good recipe to incorporate turmeric into a smoothie and what first came to my mind was those mango lassis that you can order in some Indian restaurants.
- 1 cup frozen mango
- approximately 2 cups water and/or milk of choice
- 2 tbs yoghurt of choice (optional)
- 1 teaspoon turmeric
- 1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger
- a dash of vanilla extract
- a dash of cardamom
- Blend and serve!
